Planning a ride from Enumclaw to Windy Ridge.
Meet for Breakfast at Charlies on 410.
Any interest?
The route looks like this.
Maybe even a side trip to Paradise on Rainier for photo ops if the weather is in our favor.

Maybe! Just not sure if travel plans will have us out of state that weekend.
If I am available could we meet somewhere mid ride? Coming off the Kitsap Peninsula thru Tacoma I'd just as soon not go to Enumclaw. Used to live on Kent East Hill, and know those roads pretty well and I'd rather ride thru Eatonville/Morton to Randle...
It would be nice to hook up with some other Beemer boys.
Cheers!

Okay, rethinking my last response...meeting in Enumclaw does sound good. Haven't actually looped all the way around Rainier in a few years.
If the travel schedule works out, I'll check back with you.
Thanks for the invite.

Weather is looking good... Thus far.
We know how that goes.
The only reason I mention weather is for cloud cover.
Kinda pointless to ride to see a volcano shrouded in clouds.
Anyway-
As of now:
Breakfast at 8:00am, No Breakfast arrive 8:30am and depart at 8:45am.
Ride up to Paradise... Back down to Packwood and on to Morton and Mt. St. Helens.
After Windy Ridge... ?
Really no plans from there.
Charlies in Enumclaw.

Sorry I'll have to take a rain check (ha ha) on this ride. As it turns out some friends are coming to stay with us that weekend. This seems to be the story of my life this summer...I make plans, then family and/or friends change them.
Sorry!
Get much rain out your way the last couple of days? My backyard rain guage showed about 2 1/2 inches over the last couple of days. Guess we're making up for all that dry riding weather we had!
But THANKS for the invitation!
Cheers, BJ
Well, I had a good day on Saturday with our friends...but looks like you had a GREAT day for a ride. And now, looking out the window this morning it appears I might have lost my last best chance for a sunny ride.
I've been wanting to ride a loop around the east side of St. Helens to the Columbia, last year's attempt was thwarted by a washed out road. This year it's just been scheduling. Oh well....guess it will be there NEXT year...
Great looking rig you've got there...is that a stock color? Don't think I've ever seen one like that.
Cheers! Bill J
Go Here... Then if you want choose slideshow.
More.

Uh...this shot was taken at 2AM?
Nothing came thru 'cept an all black blank "picture"...

Ah ha! Mucho better...
One of our fave campsites is on the Cispus River, so we've spent a fair amount of time in the region. But that bridge is something I don't recall...where's that located?
And is the green CL with the sidehack your's, or a riding friend?
My wife used to ride her own bike, many, many moons ago...I've unsuccessfully tried several times to talk her into venturing out on two wheels again, to no avail. I've thought for some time that 1200CL would be pretty close to perfect since she's a bit height challenged. I can't even manage to get her to ride pillion any more...perhaps a sidecar rig would suit her.
Although a sidecar on an 11S might be a "bit" odd!
Thanks for sharing the pictures!

Look at this image and then click on the map link.

It's been a couple of years since I've been on FSR-25, that must be a new bridge, perhaps one of the repairs to the damage that aborted my last attempt to travel that way.
I'm retired, so my schedule is pretty flexible, maybe if I get a day or two away from the Honey Do list I can make it over that road to the Columbia Gorge before the winter closes me out...again.
Did go for a bit of a putt yesterday, after lunch with a buddy in Edmonds took a spin out through Snoqualmie Valley, then down through Maple Valley to Enumclaw before heading back to the Kitsap Penisula. Only about 200 miles, but it was good to put a few miles on the S...

Looking to do it again.
Depart Enumclaw @ 9AM sharp, pre gassed.
Arrive at 8 if you'd like to sit for a good breakfast.
Here is the route.

That's a DARN big bump!
Thanks for the invite, but probably can't make it. My smarter half had surgery about 5 weeks ago, and was doing fine for awhile. But...then she developed a staph infection problem afterwards, requiring 5 days in the hospital on IV's. She's doing MUCH better, but for now I'm stickin' really close to home. Doc and/or lab visits every 3 or 4 days, and likely that after the three day weekend she WILL be scheduled for something.
But, if the long term weather guess is correct, looks like a good day for a Rainier roundabout. Hope you have an excellent day of it!
Cheers, Bill J
