    Recommended Tires for 2003 1150GS

I just purchased a 2003 1150GS and need some Dual Sport tires. 80/20's(Street-dirt) is what I am looking for! Any favorites?? Metzlers, Michelins, Contis, Bridgestones, etc!!

If you want a conventional knobby pattern then the Metzeler Karoo 2's are a good choice and are approx 80/20.

If you want a smoother tread pattern then the Metzeler Tourances make a good choice.

These are also getting good reviews by owners whom I know.

I just put a set of Shinko 705's on my bike and am pretty pleased. They were $100 shipped from chapparal. There is a good thread on the ADV site about theses tire.

+1 on the 705s. at a $hunnie a PAIR, sporting a good 70/30 tread, they are damn tough to beat.
