I was at the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB on Monday. What a fantastic place! I planned to spend a couple hours there on my way back from the Springfield Mile and ended up spending 7 hours.......and I still didn't see everything! It has to be the best collection of military aircraft in the U.S., and really traces the history of flight in serious detail. There are lots of one of a kind planes, skunk works projects, Presidential planes, spacecraft, etc. and an IMAX theater to boot! If you get the opportunity all I can say is GO! If you don't find something of interest there, then I would encourage you to immediately check your pulse because your heart may have stopped beating!
On an unrelated note, has anyone explored the possibility of doing a track day at Mid-Ohio that weekend? Might be a fun day to play around on a fantastic road racing course.

Thanks for Volunteering George. Although the MOA rally generally conflicts with either vintage Days or Superbikes at Mid Ohio. If that is the case, we have a another reason to go to Mid Ohio.Originally posted by Geo

Well, I wasn't going to go to the Air Force Museum but after checking their web site out I am so there.
It really looks like a cool place to explore and the price is right too!

I've been to both of those museums and they're both absolutely fantastic. Wright Patterson is even free, which might be the value of the century.

So you've got an extra half hour during the Rally? Take a dip in the lake! (I prefer them to pools!)
This place is really close to the Rally site; the swimming area is just a few years old, and it is a nice facility. Admission is $3.50. You can get there in 5 minutes from the Rally.
