Bag hinges

I have 88 R100RS with the Integral bags. One of the hinges broke, so I went to the closest BMW dealer and bought a new one. My question is this. The hinges are plastic and very stiff. When I try to bend the hinge it seems as though the hinge will just break into 2 pieces. Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone replaced these? Any advice. Thanks. Kevin

These hinges are stiff at first, but they loosen up with time. Don't worry about it.

Thanks Jeff. Once I put the new hinge on and opened and closed the lid I realized that these hinges work. Kevin
