Lost oil found in rear drive of 75/5

Oil was lost out of my drive shaft and found back in form of excessive oil in the rear drive. I assume it is the shaft seal of the rear drive. Has anyone done this repair or know a god website with explanations? special tools necessary?

Also I like to rebuild my forks and IÔÇÖm looking for a good tech article

    Thanks RJ

Fairly common. Seals were changed back then with no improvement sometimes and BMW came out with a bulletin telling the shops to seal the shaft splines where the ball spline slips onto the pinion shaft. They said to use heavy grease.
My other bike is a BMW.

could be the seal but may be the pinion bearing

I once noticed rapid loss of shaft oil to rear on a trip
and failed the pinion gear shaft bearing before
    I got home - bummer
