    manuals for dummies

Thanks to all who answered about oil changes. Is there a good, easy to understand manual for dummies? I have a Clymer. Would also like to adjust valves.

Personally I prefer Haynes over Clymer for bikes but I've had to contact Haynes over the years regarding their errors some of which could prove frustrating if not worse...

Car people can get Bentley, do they do bike manuals? Bentley manuals are the definitive IMHO...

Valve adjustments are very straightforward and also very important. Clearances are very critical these days with basically engine-unfriendly fuels, if your older bike hasn't been converted to lead-free valves/seats clearances are even more important!

Personally, I like the Clymer. There's a large format Clymer that goes for a about 50-bucks. More pictures/info than the smaller manual.
While I love this site, there are a lot more questions and answers on www.boxerworks.com ((go to message boards))

and, Duane Ascherman has lots of info on his site...

And, there's Skibum over on the Airheads site..

Plenty of resources out there. Just remember, there are no dumb questions...just poorly framed ones.
