Question best value for add'l driving lights & mount?

I own a 2004 R115R. I am convinced that I need to bee seen more by having additional lights so oncoming traffic can judge distances better. What is the cheapest way to get the job done beside stealing them off another bike.

wow...no one has any smart answers so I'll give it a shot! I dont know your bike specifically- I got some cheap driving lites at walmart for under $20...found a suitable screw on the fairing of my 84R80RT and they worked just fine...also gave me some extra light in the ditches!

I did the $15 Wal Mart Burners on my RT as well. I mounted them will the screw that holds the front fender on the fork lowers. I hooked them up through my Touratech fuse block.

    Thanks

As you can imagine the bigger issue is how to mount the lights.

Ive even thought about using radiator clamps in a pinch...most lites come with their own brackets...use a little imagination and ingenuity!

Here's what I did with mine.
Brackets can be easily made from sheet aluminum stock.
This bracket was made from 1/8th sheet alum beaten into submission.
The issue with mounting them sideways is that they have a horizontally spread light pattern.

You want budget-I have very nice PIAA from eBay(under $50) that some guy took off his Subaru and I mounted them with the PIAA mounts under my oil cooler shrouds( directly to the shroud on an R1150R) and have the PIAA switch on the left side control switch. It is a nice switch with an LED green /red light and the wiring was used too (shortened). Lots of lights for few bucks. If you watch eBay for lights you can beat the Wally world quality and not spend a bunch either! BTW, PIAA is not the only company that makes a quality light.

Trail tech HID's. Amazing for the $$. Same as the PIAA's, Trail tech makes them and they are less than half the cost.

Bought the cyclegadgets PIAA 1100X setup with brackets and wiring harness for 150.00 last year. Got the off the"IBMWR.ORG" site, and it was money well spent.
