Ha ha! Here's a larger photo. Couldn't fine a "twisty' shot though, so posted a bike made for twisties!

"Ride hard or stay home."
The cops sit up there and watch for bikes passing over the double yellow. Amazingly, the speed limit on that road is 55, so nobody gets popped for speeding. If they see you doing something bad, they just pull you over when you reach the top. There's even a nice parking lot with a view while you wait for your souvenier.![]()

Some bikes. Some with motors, some without.
If you can't go fast with 100hp, you can't go fast with 200hp.
Kbasa... have you ever ridden to the top of Palamar Mountain? there's an Observatory there also. when I was stationed in San Diego back in the early 80's we used to ride those twisties. I had a new Yamaha Seca 750 back then...Kenny

Yup that's my Harley friend. We had been studying and practicing some of the tips in Riding in the Zone, but Andy obviously had a hard time with some of the basics.
He ran off the road later in that day, on Ar Hwy 9, which is a technically demanding road. Details of that and the rest of our week-long trip in Arkansas last May can be found here.
Andy tore his ACL and MCL in his left knee and had surgery. He's back on two wheels, feeling his age a wee bit more :-)

In the end, you will regret much more those things you didn't do, than those which you did.
