I'll bet that 9 times out of 10 that the air pressure loss it notifies you of will be caused by the valve stem caps leaking.
It would be nice to monitor the tire pressures, but having to depend on the screw on caps not leaking looks like the weak link in this setup.![]()

It would have to keep the shcrader valve depressed all the time in order to read the air pressure, so any leaking at the cap would be real tire pressure loss. I agree that it is a bit risky to rely on just the cap to maintain the valve stem seal. I don't even like using the cheap plastic valve caps, metal only for a more positive backup is my choice. This system, though easy to install, would not be a good choice in my books.
