Thanks to all this is what makes MOA great, so much expierince. It seems someone always has a solution. I'm leaning towards the Cabela/Sierra Trading Post duffel Bag. Let you know how they work out. Thanks again to all

I scuba dive and dry bags are something that divers use when they go out on a dive boat. You can look in a (brick and mortar) dive shop or you can go online and find them there. I have one that is clear PVC with a roll top. I think it only set me back $20-25 or so. I wanted the yellow one (yellow is a favorite color of mine) but having the bag be clear is a nice way to be able to find stuff that's not near the top.
Check out www.diversdiscount.com or a similar online scuba retailer.

The rubber dry bags, rolled ends are the simplest and are somewhat hard to pack/unpack, but bombproof in wet conditions. ALSO made are zippered types of the same and they are really expensive, but the watertight zippers make easier packing these rubber bags. Sealine, Ortlieb are the two bag companies I've used and they last nearly a lifetime. The Ortlieb's have a neat straping system around their bags, for synching the bags into smaller shapes
. Aerostitch! REI also sells the heavy rubber dry bags. I forgot their label name, but made in Washington State, where "wet" is frequent. Randy

The red ones look like XL size to me. The yellow ones look a size smaller, but maybe it's just the perspective?
I have an XL Oertlieb Rack-Pack that I purchased here: http://www.bestrestproducts.com/cele...ducts/ortlieb/ Lots of vendors don't carry the XL size...
For reference, I carry the following in my Rack-Pack:
-Big Agnes Hog Park sleeping bag, compressed in another dry bag to flatten it
-Kelty Gunnison 4-person tent
-Large (25X78) Therma-Rest "Luxury Camp"
-there's still room to stuff in a 3XL tall fleece jacket, and other assorted goodies- the XL Rack-Pack is BIG!
I strap mine crossways behind the solo seat on my GS. It hangs over onto the Jesse bags, and makes a fairly tidy package. ROK straps secure it for me.
Happy shopping!
