    04 R1150R oil pressure/temp source

I am thinking about adding an oil pressure and temperature gauge jsut to be on the safe side. Does anyone have thoughts on where best to source a port or line that would provide easy access as well as a true reading?

    Oil pressure/temp sensors

Oil temp sensor is on the right side of the engine, above the right cylinder and is the forwardmost of the two attachments. It has a rubber insulated electrical line which goes into the temp sensor and the other end plugs into the Motronic unit. The oil pressure sender is on the left side of the engine and has two male ends protruding out of the fitting which screws into the block.

A less high-tech method (a-la airheads) was an oil temp guage which had a line which was attached to a washer that went onto the oil drain plug, though this does not address the oil pressure issue.

Do a search or post your question on http://r1150r.net/ Some people have done this very elegantly.
