K1200RS systems cases on 99 R1100RT?

Will a set of system cases from a 98 K1200RS fit my 99 R1100RT?

No, sorry. The K1200RS cases have hooks located in different places than an R1100RT case. They also have a smaller left bag to make room for the upswept exhaust.

Thanks for the information. I saw a pretty good deal for them on eBay but didn't know if they'd fit my bike. I've got city cases and I'm looking for an inexpensive upgrade for a bit more room.

Hmmm, can you actually put "inexpensive" and "BMW" in the same sentence?

Well, if you already have city cases you could just buy new full size lids. I believe true city cases have internal dividers that the full size cases don't. So you would have to deal with them but it would be cheaper.

Otherwise, keep looking around. Used cases do come up for sale occassionally. Full size System Cases from any RT or R1100S will fit. R1100GS, R1150GS and R models will "fit" but use smaller left cases to accomodate the high exhaust. And K1200RS and K1200GT cases don't fit at all.
