    First BMW Bike....2002 K1200RS

Just bought a new to me 2002 K1200RS. First impressions are wow! The brakes are awesome, I am missing the manual with mine so I am in the dark on a few things. I know I have ABS brakes, but are they intergrated? What is the range on the bike with a full take of fuel? I am sure I will have many more questions.

Thanks guys, here is a quick pic.

Welcome aboard! I'm a newer K1200GT owner myself and I very happy happy with it. I'm sure you will be just as happy. My brother has a K12RS also. As far as fuel mileage, not as good as my other bike. I've noticed I'm doing great if I can get 200 miles out of a tank. However, to me thats of little consequence as I normally stop every 100-150 miles to refuel anyway. As far as the integrated brakes go, I wish I could speak definitavely about the 02 model, but I know my 03 GT has it as does my brothers 04 RS. Anyway, congratulations, enjoy it, ride safe. Oh and one other thing watch the speed, these things just glide along at 100 mph + when you dont even notice it sometimes. It's a wonderful thing.

Yes on the integrated (and servo assist) brakes, I start loking to fuel up around 175-180, never gotten more than 190 from a tank, but have never run out either. Could be I'm afraid to have to push the 600 lb. monster, so I fuel up early.
