    I have a 2007 R1200R and was wondering the same thing. The cases are wide but I never notice them unless I'm pulling into my garage. I use my bike as a pleasure/commuter ride and rarely fill the large cases. Let me know if you hear of a narrower solution.

    As far as I know there are no city lids available for the 1200R...
    Check over on www.r1150r.org in the 1200R forum, but I haven't heard anything in the last 15 months as a 1200R owner.
    The hard bags are much improved on the 1200's, you would think BMW would make the city lids...
