it would later sell to BSA in 1943

All later production (till 1969) Matchless & AJS Motorcycles
would be mechanically identical,
with different appearance packages

The AJS name is still being used
on small China built motorcycles

I am a 3 year member of the Kettle Moraine Sport Motorcycle Club
The Club does a Porker Run, Hillclimb, & the Fall Field and Forest Dual Sport Ride

The Kettle Moraine Sport Riders
Field & Forest Dual Sport Ride
is held in October when the crops are off of the fields

The Ride typically will enter a farmers yard,




Travel down the harvested Fields



& end up in the Farmers Forest

The Club built multiple bridges
to travel across sensitive terrain

I help build trail on the weekends preceding the event
It is just as much fun as riding the event


The trail ride will run a north or a south route, alternating yearly
I leave my dirt bike at club members Craig or Paul's house,
depending on which route is used
& use my big GS to commute to the trailhead

The Club has a brusher that is pulled with the ATV
which cut this five foot path through the swamp grass

I have a machete and loppers
strapped to my KLX to use for trail clearing

The ride was over 100 miles with a 60/40 mix of dirt to tarmac

I have run this route on my R100GS,
skip the Hero sections
& it is a very doable route on must 650 dual sport bikes

Halfway through the ride,
Lunch was provided in the large shed

At the end of the ride,
more lunch was provided at Mike's Motorsports shop
