    Battery Leak -

Well, my unsealed BMW battery leaked. I don't know exactly how it happened, but I took it all apart, used 1/2 box of baking soda and washed it out (my old man tought me that 30 years ago, hmm). Left side of the bike is ok - just some melted foam drips, easy clean up.

Right side has me a bit worried for the long run.

Anyone have any advice on this? I'm replacing the spark plugs. The plastic engine cover I could care less about.

Its more the head and head bolt that have me concerned. What other actions would you take? Mind you I, don't have acess to a great supply of exotic cleaning chemicals. Take a look.

Wire brush? More Soda? Something else? Replace the bolt?

    Thanks.

plenty of baking soda, rinse with water. Could not tell anything about the condition of your head from the picture. Would recommend getting sealed battery >> no leaks!
