Having lived in upstate NY in the 50's except for a short stint in Mass and back again in the early 60's to Syracuse I can identify with your need to take a trip south to escape winters grip. Your back roads explorations along with the photo's and notes allowed me to share in your trip. I can hardly wait until Jan 2010 when I'll be retired and travel around the USA. My CLC is not suited for off-road but the paved roads less traveled will become my principal highways.
