    Do ya think I'm hexy?

    "Do ya think I'm hexy?"

Am I the only one who finds this line obnoxious?
This "play on words" is not humorous, it's demeaning.
My R1200RT and K75 both object to it. Even my bicycle cringes.

I'll admit to not being a huge fan of it.. but I can overlook it since the forum is quite useful.

Maybe we can glean something a little more meaningful/progressive/interesting by using our collective wit?

    why demeaning.

    Demeaning? How so?

What is demeaning is the use of the lowest form of humor possible (play on words). It is a forced way to appear witty. This kind of humor here is like low profile tires and chrome wheels on a pickup truck. The wrong way to be cool.

    This thread looks promising....

The threads that go on for dozens of responses usually are about:
    - what kind of oil should I use?
    - helmet laws
    - Harleys
    - lane splitting
    - speed limits/enforcement

    However, this thread shows promise.

By the way, I come down on the "tastes great" side of the "Tastes great/less filling" debate.

All other subjects have been exhausted (sorry bad play on word) so now it's time to pick on the forum. Sure beats the F* issue.

    Dear R80RTJohnny.

So, in your view it is picking on the "FORUM" ??????

Maybe the "Hexy" thing is not as off mark as I thought.

I went out into the garage and asked my bike if it felt demeaned by the term 'hexy' I also asked if I was being obnoxious in using it in the bikes presence. All my bike did was sit there, looking quite depressed. So I took the hint and kept asking what was wrong. Finally, my bike broke down and told me. To my surprise, it was not the demeaning words that I had spoken, it was the fact that I have not riden her in quite some time! My bike was feeling alone, unwanted, even rejected. I had to explain that there was snow on the ground and it was unsafe to go for a ride, even just a quiky. As far as the term 'hexy' was conserned, my bike said that it thought that it was kinda flattering, like a pet name. So I think that I will use it. I'll even lean over when we are in public and wisper it to her, just to make her blush. It will be our little way of getting through the long cold winters.

Oh, and as far as pick-up trucks go I'm sure in your neck of the woods that nothing less than 44"s is cool.
