What is a San Jose Anti-bottoming kit?
I never heard of one either. This came with the bike. I just rebuilt the forks, new seals, removed the 1" PVC spacer from the top of the Progressive springs and used Spectro Golden 125/150 (7.5w) with these springs I have never had so much fun on the bumpy roads up in the Knob!! I think that they invented these for helping with Vetter/Luftmeister fairings but I like em just fine on this bare /6.

I vote for the white bags.

    my R75/7

finally got some pix of the bike.

from the front... yes, that's duct tape holding the headlamp on. the spring is toast, and duct tape is cheap.

The left side. her better profile, as this is the side with the least amount of dings in it. Yes, I'm aware that those are K&N foam air cleaners, and that it should be connected to the airbox. But when I hook it to the airbox, it runs like crap, and I cant afford a new filter at the moment. so, foamies it is....

The right side. the side with all the nicks and dings on the tank. Oh well, at least the tank isnt rusty.

    the rear. nuff said.

I decided I liked a hard trunk better than the soft tail bag that came on my bike, so I bought a box and stuck it on. I've put some 3M black reflective tape on the saddlebags and the the trunk, along with a few decals.

And here's a view from the rear. That BMW logo came off the back of the sissy bar pad - looks good on my cheapo trunk, now "officially" BMW merchandise :-)

    my 1976 r60/6

Here's my R60/6 complete with my $5 smith-corona typewriter cases as also seen in the follow up MOA magazine for the Redmond Oregon Intl rally. Black paint with blue pearl, 80,000 miles and still running great!

Very nice 5, aschatzman. It looks like you will have no work to do.
I finally got the dual-plug, electronic ignition sorted out on this 6. (Note: PO installed the Dyna III unit under the tank where the Accel spark amp used to be. BAD TOO HOT there. I moved it out into the breeze.) My neighbor Finley suggested that we test drive it to GR3; 540 miles without a single hiccup. This is my favorite $2000 bike now. The best that I have gotten is 54 MPG. I ride hard.
We found marijuana growing behind the silo at this deserted farm that we stopped at.
