well, "pretty much stock", except for: the S handlebars with bar-endz mirrors, centerstand, valve covers, missing battery covers, late model saddlebags, /6 era mufflers and whatever else is not visible. (yeah, it can be a tough crowd here!)
nice /5, in spite of/because of the upgrades/changes.![]()

How are U likeing your ST. Got one just like it. The only time I road it was right before I bought, maybe 8 or so years ago. Pulled the heads off and did a top end. Sent my speedo off and got it fixed. Been sitting ever since. I have accumulated a few more parts. Bigger R100GS tank and and PD solo seat, bags, mounts and rack Bike looks like a blast to ride, can't wait to get it back together and ride it.
Nice, BoxBoy100. I wish that I had snow tires.
I love my ST, it is nimble and a hoot to ride. It just feels right. Have not had it very long, but I seem to reach for the key as much as I can. Show some pics of your ST. We might be clones in a couple of months. I have a black R100GS tank and some other neat parts still to go on... but I really like the look and feel of it right now. But if I plan on doing some touring with it I will need to heavy it up with bags etc..

Nice!
Snowscape photos later in the week.. some nutbarsare going riding this Thursday.
The roads are dry enough and the temperature was in the low thirties. I got out this afternoon and decided to visit the same roadside that I had stopped on in January. I tried to take the same photo shots as I did then from memory and got kinda close. I wanted to document the changes that I have made this year on this RT. This is on State Line Road just north of Hebron IL

My son took this picture of my 1974 R90S last summer. Unrestored and still a good runner.

New heated grips and grip guards are fantastic on a 30 year old. Although given the temperature hit nearly 50 yesterday in Chicago I feel like a bit of a poser. Colder weather is coming and as long as the roads aren't icy...let's go ride!
