Love that white and blue R100GSPD! What year is it? Wish I could find one for sale that wasn't beat to crap or over $6,000.Originally posted by Rbike

Welllllll...that uh blue PD is a '93 Purple PD with the graphics removed. It comes with some stickers that look like flying gravel on the tank. That was removed before I got it for $5500 with 24K miles. It needed a new front brake rotor so I puton one of the oversized rotors from M.A.P. Engineering.
When I first got it I thought I would paint over the purple when winter arrived...but by the time winter arived I didn't seem to care about it being purple anymore.
You can still find a nice PD for about $5500 if you take some time. There were two black ones in the Airmail last month.

Hoske tank? Supertrap stainless exhaust?
Chrome oil cooler, CC Products Valve covers, custom seat.
ALL very nice.
Thanks,

I finally gave into my inner urges. I bought me another airhead. I had a R75 briefly in 91 or 92. After riding an oilhead to BMW rallies for 4 years I had a serious case of airhead envy. So tonight my 2000 Roadster shares the garage with this 1987 R65.
My plans are to remove the windscreen, replace the US spec handlebars with Euro spec handlebars and convert it to dual front discs.

That is one nice bike. It is also the look I want for my R100R- if I get the leaks stopped. Could you please tell me what type fairing, windscreen, bars, and mirrors those are? Classy!

Here's a photo of my bike right after I bought it about 6 weeks ago. 1988 R100RT There's more photos on my website for those who are interested. I'm getting to know airheads, and I'm enjoying riding them.

That is a beauty. I would happily trade my oilhead for a new looking monolever RT or RS. Well, maybe not but I would sure like one. Blue has always been my fav color, too.

Mark, I did happily trade my oilhead for the R75/5 pictured in on page 3 or 4 of this thread. I was tired of collecting speeding tickets. I also collected more that enough cash to get a new roof on my house.
