These are great. I got nuttin'. I was at a Family Reunion.
Some people didn't show up or we would need a bigger camera.

    Out Max Patch way...

... while bumbling around in the mountains of western NC, i came across a cool little campground built out of rocks.

the tree canopy was so dense that the place was almost dark.

green moss covered just about everything.

That is a neat shot Ian. The green looks almost surreal.

I was going to jump in on this one but as I sat with my wife on the bluff in Fort Baker overlooking the SF Bay and the GG Bridge, with perfect fall weather, drinking a glass of champagne where I married my lovely wife 8 years ago I couldn't imagine a place I'd rather be. No pics were taken.

Maybe I'll get in on the next assignment.

I like the direction you were going. But the huge negative space really hurts this
shot. The eye is drawn to the motorcycle but there's no where for it to go after that.
To make this a better shot, something in the foreground (to help deal with the negative
space) would be great. Another bike, a small tent, etc.

The negative space doesn't bug me so much, but I'd like the shot more if the bike were facing into the frame rather than out.

Looks like a cool place to ride Visian!! It must have been dark - it looks like you used your flash??

That's great way to take care of the dead space. Turn the bike around so the eye is
    lead back into the frame.

    photo assignment 2

C'mon there's got to be some folks out there who took some shots this weekend.....Boxergrrlie
Got some good ones I shot from the top of Mt. Fairview, (the highest hike in the Canadian Rockies) on the 14th but I just have to figure out how to get them from Picasa into here. I may have to bring in a multi media guy to help.

    Where I want to be

This photo was taken about 200 miles north of West Bend, Wisconsin. This time of year, many cyclist prefer to travel south. North is where I wanted to be.

    Where I want to be

For this photo, I was laying on the gravel roadway, when, the local game warden pulls up. I get up to greet the young gent. He asked me if I was listening for buffalo. Then he told me the roadway makes a sharp left and travels through a granite notch. I told him thanks. That is where I want to be.

Note: see the photos of the notch and the rest of the weekend here:
