Shove a reworked diesel engine from a BMW 3 Series into the revised frame of a R 1150RT and hang on. A group of privateers recently did that and saw the clock hit 210km/h. Now they want more.

That's cause they didn't use a new (1200 series) final drive. The bike does appear to have Iron Butt qualities.

I am glad they are trying to make it go so fast. Maybe they should spend more time designing a practical bio-deseil bike for the street?

Well, it looks like they used a BMW 3 Series enginge... Many of these can be converted to "bio" with little or no modifications.
I know the taxi's in Berlin have been running on "bio" for at least 2 years now, and the cab-drivers hardly know the difference.
