Thanks Kurt, I think I was actually not understanding that there is a difference between avatar and profile picture. I think I have got it now.

Your address needs to have the img code tags around the photobucket address.
You can select this

from above or add them manually.

irfan doesn't work on my Mac: They haven't gotten that set up yet. Any other ways to shrink a picture? (I'm not a Mac whiz so I've not found their way to shrink pics yet; if there is one).

Welcome to the forum...a Photoshop kinda deal will work or you can e-mail the picture to someone who can shrink it and send it back to you. Good luck. Gary

Try Photobucket! It is a free hosting website... you can upload your pictures and it will provide you the links to be able to post pictures to the forums. It is easy to use. It will also resize the pictures.
