Help parking lights won't go off R1200RT

Battery has been unhooked with no reset. When reconnecting power the parking lights go on and stay on. Can anyone help me out?

Did you click the turn signal cancel switch?

I've been told that to leave the parks on, you hold the turn signal cancel switch after you turn off the bike but before the LCD shuts down.

Were you having issues with the turn signal cancel switch?

I believe it's the left turn signal switch that turns on the parking lights after the ignition is turned off.
