Did you just pull it off? Or did you use the procedure from the IBMWR page?

YES, I DID AS IT WAS ON THE PAGE I GOT ONTO FROM HERE. I TOOK OFF MY TAILPIPE AT THE SAME TIME, BUT THAT WAS AFTER THE CAT. THAT DOES NOT HAVE ANY SENSORS IN IT ; IT JUST DROPED WEIGHT.
Ouch. Easy on the caps, dude. That's generally regarded as shouting here.
I'm not sure what to tell you about a mileage drop. I've know a bunch of folks that have taken them off without difficulty.

It may have done more than that...depending on the change in backpressure. I'd suggest undoing your changes one at a time to see which restores your fuel mileage.Originally posted by kelly cranford

Don't forget, when you make changes like ya did, ya need to resync yur TBs.
Are ya sure you capped the nipples on the TBs?
Make sure that both the vent and over flow line from the tank are not hooked together. Some people have done thatDont! They each must run to the bottom of the bike and be open to the atmosphere.
