    Lies, Danged Lies and Statistics

Well, maybe not lies, but there were garbled sections of the tape recording I made of Johnathan Gifford, the Awards & Tallies Chair, as he read the news.

Please blame all typos on Vince, all ????? on Sony. Blame the order in which these were read on Johnathan.

All other errors, blame the beer.

Did I miss Longest distance solo FEMALE rider?

I nominate Kristy Miller, Surprise, AZ, 2005 BMW F650CS. 2,042 aprox. miles using mostly two-lane roads. I can document the ride

    75% rode, 9% with a passenger
Does this mean that 25% (almost 2000 attendees) trailered or came in transportation other than a motorcycle?

I have to say that Bill Dewitt is my hero. He rode to the rally at age 90 with his 85 year old wife on the back. This, folks, is an example we should all be in awe of.

I hope to be half as full of life and still riding if I make it to his age.
