i luv the wunderlich protection bars - i layed 'er on her side today just to see if i can pick it up and also see the protection bars at work:
also, the wunderlich protection bars design covers up the darn bolt to remove the exhaust pipe. I saw a realy clean solution another r1200rt rider had on flickr, and decided to duplicate (funniest thing is he also had a annie version):
I ended up buying a m8 40mm exhaust bolt (the one where u can use a allen wrench on one side), a 30 mm 5/8" fenderwasher, and a m8 nut. Works just fine now, i can remove the exhaust without having to remove the protection bar.
ps: i picked up the bike just fine.

Just got my seat back from Sargent. I did not get the standard Sargent treatment for the R12R, which I think they call "Premium Foam Upgrade/Conversion" or something like that. I just had then put some of their "supercell" foam in, widen it, and move the rise back a bit (this was the main reason for a sending it to them). I felt too constricted with the stocker, although I found it comfortable. Also I had them add pleated vinyl for that old school look. In any case I am really impressed with the quality of workmanship from Sargent. Have not taken her on a long ride but will update when I do.
