My wife is going to look at an f650 tomorrow and I was wondering how difficult the valve adjustment is on that bike. It is not a problem on my oil head but I have no knowledge of the 650. Is the adjustment every 6000 miles? Thanks

You check the valves every 6k. Sometimes they need adjusting, sometimes they don't.
There is a fair amount of tear-down in getting to the valve shims but since the valves are on the same 6k maintenance schedule as everything else it's not too bad.
Spend some time in the FAQs over at f650.com, the amswer to just about everything f650 can be found in there.

They are checked at the 6K interval, and rarely need shimming, you will probably find many responses on f650.com about folks changing a shim at 24 or 36K. That is a great little Rotax motor in dem 6fidys.
