My 2007 F800S. Love it!

Achievement is its own reward, pride obscures it.
I had a 1991 R100GS for several years and 30000 miles, a 2005 R1200GS for three years and 26000 miles and now this 2009 F800GS for 1260 miles. I like the BMW's and each one has had good and bad points. The F800GS is well balanced light and quick. The power for passing is a little less than the 1200 but lots more than the R100. The engine is tractable and performs well on dirt/gravel roads. The brakes are great and I like losing the servos. The ABS is seamless and activates when needed. The windshield is too low and puts all the bugs on my visor. All in all I like this bike.
This is Renn Charlesworth, of BMW of Salt Lake, and I before
and after he sold me my new F650GS last week.
Ummm, and here's a better picture of the bike

What the heck. It was a fun ride, a bit challenging in places.

Wow, those f800s look similar to K75s. Has anybody gone from the Brick to the F800? Size wise they look very similar. Sounds like performance is great.
Comments on K75S vs F800st?
Thanks, Brad![]()
Got the F800GS home last Thursday evening. Spent friday afternoon putting on all the accessories I bought for it.
Boxes of extras to install.
All unpacked and ready to go on.
All installed a ready to go.
Still have to get the GPS wired in and the Gerbings. Also going to build a rear luggage plate and find a tank bag.

I can't wait to retire and have a fixed income. The one I have now is always broke.
can we have a close up of the calendars please?
Oh yeah, that would have to be on another website. Maybe you could just move the bike a little closer.

Here are some pictures of susan's new 2009 F650GS twin - we traded in her 2001 F650GS and her 1992 K75 for this pretty red one!!
