How do you get TDC on R1200C for valve setting?

Can anyone explain how to get TDC of the cylinders because I want to do a valve set job on my 2000 R1200C?

On the right side of the motor, about halfway back, you'll see a flat rubber plug. It's black. Pop it out and you'll be able to see the edge of the flywheel.

Take the spark plugs out and remove the valve covers. Remove the front cover off of the motor. Put the bike in neutral.

Find an allen wrench that fits into the hole in the bottom pulley. Rotate the pulley (which is bolted to the end of the crankshaft) until you can see the TDC marker on the flywheel.

Now, take a look at the rockers. One side will have some slack in it. This is the side that's at TDC. The other side will have some tension. Leave that one alone until you're done with the other side. When you're done, rotate the motor until the TDC marker comes up again. The other side should now be at TDC so you can adjust it.

We've got a few guys here that live in Colorado. Maybe they'd be willing to help you out.

But basically, intakes are on the back and exhausts are on the front, right by the exhaust outlet.
