Radar detectors are illegal in Ontario, even if turned off. They must be inaccessible while driving. First offence the detector is confiscated and the fine is something more than $100. The provincial police traffic cars (OPP) have detector detectors, so you're best off to leave it buried in your luggage.
If you keep your speed less than 15km/h (10MPH) over the limit you shouldn't have any problems.

Gail,
I am heading out to one of our ships early in the morning and will be back sometime over the weekend. It will probably be Monday before I can post the route #'s and waypoints.
I have set this up as a rolling tour with a Friday departure after work to southwest NH, Friday night in upstate NY, Sunday and Monday in a nice campground in Canada, Tuesday at the Soo and arrive at the rally Wednesday. I am going to have to beat it home for work Sunday night / Monday morning and after two days ofI'll be leaving Saturday morning and taking the fast way home.
I am happy to have any like minded folks join for any or all ('cept southern NH, I'll be a guest in a private home) parts of the tour. Like minded means a group ride is two but a bunch of groups can travel together and enjoy each other's company in the evening.
The ride out is a stop n smell the roses tour with a big day being 350+.
Best,
Rob Nye
Rob:
I would be interested in knowing more about this route as well. Total mileage? I live in southern Vermont and am not sure what route I want to take. I'm leaving on Monday with one other rider. Thanks.

Hey, SheRidesABeemer, good luck in your bid to become a Director. Also, I saw your article in the latest ON about buying a bike on ebay. Good article. I'm here in Vermont and plan to ride to the National. Hope to see you on the road and at the rally. Take care and be safe.
