If you did not make it to Daytona ...

If you did not make it to Daytona Beach for Bike Week a few photos are available by following this link. <- Check it out

I usually fly to Orlando from Albany using Ding fares from Southwest. Ding fares are the best. If you are flexible with travel fares and live near a Southwest city, they are hard to beat. From Albany the flight is a little over two hours which, at this time of year, beats three days on the road.

Besides the bikes are still snowed in and living on Battery Tenders.

If you would like more pictures and video the Orlando Sentinel has much more.

Here is another link to Daytona News.

    Talking

Thanks for the post! There are a few riders down here too as it was sooooo busy according to a rider I talked to earlier this week. The rider with his pillion wife rode his Harley from Cleveland Ohio down, and is on his way back up again . I guess not all Harley riders are bar-hoppers after all

I was there on a Sunday, the first day and then Monday.
Sunday saw a lot traffic on the roads but neither day was the crush at the Speedway the least bit bothersome. There were no long lines at the food vendors. Beer and alcohol were not being sold at the speedway.

Not sure what it was like on Main Street but the two links to local newspapers provided give you a better idea of what was happening there.

A lot of folks in black leather jackets with HD, Kawasaki and Suzuki patches were giving the BMWs a good look.

Temps were very warm and I did a pinhole light check on the inside of my eyelids and had to roll the windows down because the interior of the car was quite warm.

    It was a good trip.
