    Oil

Anybody tell me if I can use any motorcycle oil in my 2006 R1200RT? Bike has 2000 miles on it and a little low. Don't have any BMW 20-50 but have some H-D 20-50 from my last bike. Can I use this?

    Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure but my view is so long as it is good quality oil it's all good... I had to add half a quart to mine after the first oil change because the sensor said it was too low.

BMW recommends an API rating of SG or SH and no SJ or SI. But certainly it is better to have oil than no oil. So of course I would top off with any comparable oil if the level dropped to the add oil point.
My other bike is a BMW.
