Folks, I need your help telling the story of the Peaks Of America Tour.

The POA idea got started last January while I and Rob Nye were very, very busy working on the 'RA and 'MOA rallies, respectively. The way the timing of these three rallies fell together was just too good to pass up, especially since this could be a chance for both national owner's associations - for the first time ever - to jointly sponsor a riding event!

We wanted it to be low overhead (administratively), and light hearted in spirit. Some folks were going to do it anyway, but others of you made new plans just to participate. Originally we though we'd get maybe 50 riders - so it blew everyone away when we got two and a half times that many!

I've talked with a large number of you who did the ride and each has a unique story to tell. What am asking now is that you take a few minutes to share that story. You can post it here, or send it to me as a PM. It doesn't have to be long - maybe even a few key experiences or observations. I'm working on a story about the POA for the October ON and OTL issues and I'd really like to have much of that story told by the folks who did it. That's the good news.

The bad is it turns out I have until the 10th (Thursday) to get this put together. So in addition to what gets posted here, IÔÇÖll glean from the posts already made in other threads.

My helmet is off to all of you who made the trek! As much as it was a personal journey for many, it was also the beginning of a new journey for the BMW MOA and BMW RA and you all helped make it happen.
