I can't speak specifically about motorcycle tires but I looked at mine and they are marked with a tire pressure, which in the case of other tires, like your car, that is the MAX pressure. Regardless...

I gave up on trying to get an idle sync. I also like my idle low, about 750 RPM. Just a preference. I concentrated on sync at speeds above idle, starting at 3000 RPM all the way to redline at 7500...

I use Wix 557936 filters on all my bikes, K's and R's and a good 20w50.

I found the Lucas looked oxidized rather quickly and it stained my sight glasses so I've had to replace them every few...

When I was the Bosch Tech Guy in Canada.........

As you might know, the fuel injectors on our bikes are made by Bosch for gas. Sorry if that sounded a little condescending, but wait, more to come.

Here I sit, formerly, the Bosch Tech Rep for...

Generally speaking, most systems will go to 14.5V, after about 45 minutes of running at high idle, like on the highway. Even seen some as high as 15.1V, data logged as peaks. My R1100RT has run as...

    "reasonably", isn't that subjective?

Very good advice given. Nothing in this string to make me cringe, like the last time this issue was posted.

In the hands of somebody that hasn't a clue, replace, patch, plug has the exact same...

    It could be really simple.

I have taken a great deal away from this guy's website. Whatever issue I might have, I check to see what comments he might have and they always steer me into a direction I'm good to pursue.

  12. If you aren't sure, there are rules of thumb.

Tight always works for me. The engineers at BMW aren't so brite as to re-invent torque tables. I can't think in metric but a 1/4" thread is around 12 ft lbs of torque and 5/16" is around 20 ft lbs...

  14. I need to correct a statement I made about gasoline in Canada.

I had a wonderful chat with a fellow that does the same stuff as me and we both had a good giggle that our government's short sightedness and that the pony-tail granola munchers think they are...

When I saw my R1100RT sink in the asphalt, yet another crappy BMW sidestand.

I don't know what it is about "R" bike sidestands but they've been crappy from the 70's. I've had my fair share sink in asphalt, come out after a few hours and see them laying on their side, bushing...
