I got the RAM mounts that attach to the rider side of the clutch lever perch and the front brake perch.
RAM-B-309-1U is the part number.
While I have the shift assist on my bike, I find that I don't use it. After years on dirty bikes, I find that I can shift quicker the old way.
I'm 174th in the USA. Maybe next week?
My dealer, Bentonville BMW, let me know that my bike's parts is 174th. So I'm expecting to take it to the shoppe next week.
Not to mention, pulling away and then remembering that you forgot your ear plugs so you pull over, remove your gloves, take your helmet off, fumble for the ear plugs, insert one, drop the other,...
I haven't had problems on any of the bikes I've installed it on, Larry. I just run the power thru a fuse box.
I'm asking about the space under the RT's plastic.
Yeah, I've had the unit on my '96 RT, '05 RT, '07 K12GT, '08 R12GS and now going on my '14 RT. I'm asking as it seems that there is not a lot of spare space under the plastic on the '14.
Thanks Larry, So you have installed the system?
It is a communication system with CB radio. There are "add on's" to tie it into the entertainment system of the RT.
I'll try that method this weekend!
I've been able to pair my Sena headset to the BMW Bluetooth audio system with a Nav V but have not been able to pair the system to my iPhone 5. Has anyone got step by step instructions?
Has anyone installed a J & M 2003CB on their 2014 RT? I'd like some feedback on any special "look outs" of the installation.
Google "Sena". They have a base plate that has a pig tail for ear buds.
What Steve said.
I've had the same J&M unit installed on my '97 R11RT, then on my '05 R12RT, going then to the '07 K12GT and it is currently on my '08 R12GS. The only time I get a "buzz" is when...
I think you mean to say " Hopefully you had REPLACEMENT COST coverage on contents". Actual cost value means depreciated value.
I suggest to every one to fine an insurance agent that you trust...
Ahhh, thank you kind sir.
Arma, cooling down, KS
Don, It is in the title of the thread.
Thanks for the suggestion also!!
Ok, after an emotional cool down ride on my first wife's '-07 RT ( in 104 degree heat) I think I know what I did.
The pressure of the movement of the tank backward sheered off the quick release...
I moved the fuel tank back a little yesterday to change shocks and this morning I went to ride it. When I went to start it today, fuel started to spray.
Looks like I disconnected the fuel line. ...
Woooh, My dealer throws the 600 service in with the new bike. No charge!
I really like Bentonville BMW. In some of the best riding in the central part of the country.
I've tried two pairs and could not get them to stick. I used rubbing alcohol to clean the OEM grips and they still could not stay put.
Great service from the maker but I decided the over grips...
I've had to use mine twice over the past 10 years. I've got Allstate RV that covers any vehicle you are using, even as a passenger. Both times, the tows were about 100 miles one way.
My Allstate RV program paid for a 350 mile tow when my GSPD blew an oil line a couple of years ago. I signed when they picked it up and climbed into my wifes car to go home.
They have a few...
The Aeroflow did not work for me. I'm 5'8" 220 pounds with a 30" inseam. I've tried the large BMW screen, then that with a Laminar Lip, then the Medium Aeroflow sport, then the XL screen and not...
