Sounds great Rich, but if it gets too cold to ride down here you could always drive the cage down and we can just take my bikes for a ride.
Get your deer yet?

Rich has an open invitation to make the 2 hour drive to Mandan and ride mine, once he does I think he'll be sold. :thumb
I bought a Givi screen for mine going by what other people my height...
How much pressure do you guys have to use to latch that red latch? Mine took quite a bit of force at first but I've adjusted mine looser so that it is easy to latch them now. Too loose? They feel...
I leave my owners manual at home and put my tire repair kit in that spot.

I would agree with the 80 mph. I had my 86 R80RT up to an indicated 105 the other day and it was rock steady, I was about 1200 rpm under redline I believe, forgot to look at the tach. :doh

Here is my vehicle of http://images.fotopic.net/ycvy20.jpg choice for bike transport, having back problems I can't take more than 4 or 5 hours a day in the saddle so this works great for me. I spent...
Great story and photos! I thought one of your pics looked familiar so I looked through mine from last month and sure enough....http://images.fotopic.net/yaekf2.jpg ...
I used to own a 79 BMW 320iA that I bought when it was about 2 years old. It also had a surging problem at steady throttle. I talked to my mechanic friend at my local dealer and he told me "just...
That sounds like a lot of fun BG! Congrats on just finishing, I doubt if I could handle that many miles in 24 hours.
I couldn't agree more on Colorado. If you haven't already seen them, here a...
I just spent a few days in Colorado and thought I would post the pics for anyone who might be considering a similar ride. As you can see due to my bad back I had to trailer my bikes (86 R80RT and 84...
Did you use any kind of glue? I used black 3M weatherstrip adhesive around the upper side/lip only and they have stayed in place so far, about a year.

I would think an R65 would be perfect for her. Not too tall, nice and light. Mine has been very dependable although it only has 7200 miles on it.

Just go to www.realoem.com and type in your 7 digit vin number and you have the parts fiche with correct part numbers. They aren't in the retail business yet but you can get the part numbers for...
Thats possible Chris, you may have a point there.
I think there is some confusion between the term monoshock and monolever, my RT owners manual refers to both terms so I am guessing it is a...
From watching Ebay it seems to me like the demand is higher (as well as price) for early 80's bikes than there is for the 85-86 monoshock bikes.
Anyone else notice this or is it just my...
<Why not just go to a dealer that services BMW's and have them look up the part for you?>
Because my closest dealer is 5 hours away. :-(
Why bother a dealer when you can spend all the time...
I use www.realoem.com to search for part numbers, it's easiest to use by entering the last seven numbers of your vin #. The part numbers are correct BMW numbers.
