have heard various conversations about the charger and never got a straight answer out of 'em.
but i can say this about gel vs. gel in the S bikes..
the battery has its vent/drain line out...
no doubt it can be done...i know people who have done it. but with hard bags with integrated mounts, other equipment that is meant for the long haul, the S fills the bill.

first off the K bikes are not sports bikes and no where close to it. i went from my first bike, ducati 916, to the R1100S at the ripe old age of 22. what the youth market, as a whole doesnt realize...

most notably on the S bikes a leak will cause this. have you checked out the bbs for the S at pelican parts? there are lots of threads that dicuss this very thing.
