Careful there, I received an infraction once for stating someone was an idiot on this forum. Maybe you have more stroke than me though. :)

Congratulations on the nice looking ride. How does the windscreen work? Turbulent free? It looks like it would give the rider minimal protection.
You guys did great! This forum rocks, it did then and it still does today.
Thanks for all the hard work and expertise that was put in to make it all happen.
Are you going to keep it in for the whole winter? I mentioned doing that once but THE look I got told me maybe I shouldn't. :nono
I always thought it would be nice to have a house with a sliding...
I'm also an Instrument Tech. Great field to be in right now, and going to get better yet. I am on my third change of jobs in this field (my choice) so I know you can do it too. Hang in there, look...
It looks like you have the same weather display I have, only mine is showing 0 degrees F right now. I'm jealous!
I need to purchase a lottery ticket. I want both bikes. :bottle
Now let us know if it works, huh? Just kidding, I'm sure it will be fine. Now just think of all the money you saved doing the work yourself. :thumb
I thought he wrote a pretty decent piece on re-molded tires. Interesting.
But he hasn't convinced me to use them yet. :p
I think I agree with Brad, I'd have kept the bike. I had a 96 1200 Sportster Custom and it was an incredibly nimble bike and lots of fun to ride. Definitely not a tourer by any means, but I'd still...
In fact, just the other night I watched the movie JFK on discovery. Very interesting every time I watch it. I think it is 2029 before the files are opened to the public on the conspiracy over the...
I'm have a deal going on the GS, but not sure if I am going to go for it yet. After thinking it over some more, I think I will wait for spring and get in a good ride on one, that will help me decide...
Absolutely, we could also use a better selection of caps.
I used to use one of those magnetic heaters on a R80RT. There was nothing magnetic to stick it too on the bottom of the engine, so I used a piece of light metal with just the right bend to hold it...
Stupidest - Joining a group of Harley riders on a poker run and consuming a 12 pack of beer along the way. (Long ago, thank god) My wife has never let me forget that one, she retrieved me from the...
Thanks for all the congrats.
You bet there will be sausage this fall! Nothing like throwing some venison in with the pork and smoking up a big batch of smoked sausage. Last year we made over 100...
This past weekend was opening day here in ND. The weather was actually too nice to be out hunting, but the boys were pretty excited to get out in the field again. I guess I was too.
Opening day...
Yep! I'll get a hunting thread going when I get a minute. My oldest son still has one to get to finish off our season.
I'll be taking you up on that, Barry! I was hoping to hook up with you for a ride earlier this fall but it just didn't happen. I need to get some deer hunting done with the boys, and then I will make...
I have to ask, how was yours solved?
Thanks to everyone for the responses, I'm readin and thinkin. :dunno
Thanks, Fred, I have been doing that, now you know why I am undecided as of yet.
Greetings,
I am looking for opinions on going from an RT to a GS. I have been seriously considering making the trade, and after visiting with my dealer this past weekend, I am even more inclined...
That was so much fun I need to do another one!

Yep, I agree with Fred, go for it. Oh, and let us know how it works out in a couple of months, ok? It's always kind of nice when the experiment is done on someone elses bike. :thumb
