    Retirement Plans . . . . .

While I love working and riding my airhead, our plans for the next year are very different. The BMW goes into mothballs and my wife Lisa and I finish a 9 year project to complete our 1984 Nauticat...
  2. Oil In Boot . . . .

I had the same situation. I had an oil puddle on the converter and it smelled when hot. I replaced the seal on the front of the f/d. It took a special tool which I made. It took a very long...

    Expensive Parts . . . .

They are available. If they were not it would be much more difficult and expensive. Consider the value of the dollar compared to the Euro. I drive a 22 year old airhead and I am thankful to call...

    Stretchy Rubber Strap . . .

I'll check it out. I cannot understand why they would not list it for my bike if it would fit. Probably more R100RTs out there with this issue.

    Battery Hold Down Straps

I used to buy stretchy rubber straps to hold down my battery. There perpendicular metal rods on each end.

  9. JUst saw your post . . . . .

You were in LaFayette, NY. I spent many happy hours driving my BMWs in that area. At least you were near some beautiful hills and foliage. Excellent apples, too.
I hope you got it fixed....

    It leaks . . . .

I know I have new crush washers. Ergo the leak must be the drive shaft/final drive connection.
I will take it apart tomorrow and find out if there is a gasket.
