    Clicking Sound

You might want to ask this question on the Chain Gange site. My CS does the same thing and always has. I'm not sure it's a serious issue.

    GPS & Tank bag

I have the standard RT tank bag and don't have any issues with seeing the GPS. I suspect if I expanded the bag then if would be harder to see.

My switch stopped working the first day on my '07. Since it worked on and off it took several visits to get it repaced. 45,000 miles now and no issues with the replacement.

    Auto Switch

I control both my PIAA's and garage door opener via two Auto Swiches using the the headlight toggle switch. It's worked for three years and 45K miles. No issues for the '07 R1200RT.

    Not using oil

I agree with Jeff. I used a combination of the recomendations on my '07 for break in including an early oil change and have never added oil between oil changes for the last 39,000 miles.

    Boot

Marchyman is correct. I took mine off and cleaned it when I changed the FD oil. It comes out easy.

    Remote Opener

I've been using an Autoswitch Garage door opener (AS-5G2). CycleGadgets sells them for $30 (same prices as two years ago). They are made by Antenna World and require wiring into your garage door...

    Lowered Seat

GB, I have a rear standard height heated seat I took off when I purchased my RT. I don't have a need for it. I already sold the front seat. Here is what I did with the holes:

    Tool Box

Roy I suggested both my boys take metals class in high school and now I have two of those. Neither of mine has a internal tray. I'll show them the pictures. It looks like he did a great job. I'm...

    Power Socket Output

I could operate my Gerbing jacket at about half power before it lost power on my '07 RT. Based on that result, I assume you have around 5 amps. There have been a number of posts on this topic. ...

    Fuse Block - No Room!

If you have the Sergent seats and want to add the Centech the only place to mount it is in the rear. But if you have an alarm back there that creates another problem. This is what I did:

    This is...

If you remove the front top panel (4 screws) and mirror and you don't have a radio the hole where the lower speeker would go allows you to use two hands. That way you have a better chance to remove...
  13. Tpm

I agree with Bob. I've triggered the flashing yellow after taking off with a low tire. I think it flashes when the pressure is 5 PSI lower that the last time. After I go the tire replaced the...

    Navigator III

I've had one for two years and I've had no issues. I like the large buttons on the side. I'd get a sun cover for it if one was available. It's hard to read in direct sun light. I've used the blue...

    Another Variation

I rewired the existing poweroutlet with heavier gauge wire direct to the battery using an in-line 20 amp fuse. I don't have the newer version Centech and it turns off after the standard delay via...

    Whisle

I also have the same screen on my '07 and never heard a whisle at any speed. I wear ear plugs and there may be a low frequency whisle that I can't hear. Have you made any other changes to the bike?...

    2 Up on RT

I went from an '04 1150 to an '07 1200 RT and I asked my 9 yr. old riding buddy. She says she likes the 1200 better because the seat is better. I went to a Sergent seat on the new bike and had the...

I'm on my third set of H7's and try to work the plug off gently. I've brocken the right side already. I use the electrical connector grease for lights. That helps them come off a little easier. I...

    Pilot Road

I get 2,000 miles more out of Pilot Roads vs. the PR2. So I don't plan on going back to the PR2 until they stop making the Pilot Road. The $30 savings for the rear tire is nice too. I'm not an...

    Tire Wear

I agree on the tire pressure. I got 12,000 on the stock Pilot Roads and then 10,000 on the Pilot Road II's. The PR2's don't appear to have any wear indicators so I was down to the center cords...

    Gauge

    Konrad,

Yes, the numbers were calculated using math, not the average reading on the gauge. I've fount that option to be comparable.
