Nothing like a brand new bike to inspire you to push the temp limits, eh? It's 27 here now and I've got a little morning ride planned. My riding buddy for the jaunt is on a three day old sportster....
I started riding 35 years ago, but have had periods of inactivity so I suppose I've got maybe 25 actual years in which I've ridden. Still, on every ride I do something that makes me think I need to...
That looks to be a "C Type," very limited production race cars, LeMans winner. First built in 1951. (I looked it up.) Probably worth a $million or so.
I love the classic Jags. long ago, when...
I had a great little Sunday ride too. Work has kept me off the bike for a couple weeks and I was needing it. It was 39 degrees and sunny when I rolled out of the garage and I was layered up pretty...
Nice ride, nice writeup, nice bike (makes me miss my airhead).
You went all the way through the U.P. without eating a pastie??? You need to go back.

That is puzzling. An '03 RS should have hydraulic clutch operation. It seems like a lot of trouble to change it somehow to cable actuation - and why??? Even if the bar backs made the hose too...
'breeze,
I have no freekin' idea what part of the above quote constitutes "slamming Bush."
It is off topic, though. Then again, that seems to be the nature of this forum.

And, here's one of my second bike, a Triumph Daytona 500. I bought it in London in '69 while stationed in Germany. I rode it illegally, on the temporary British registration, all over Europe for...
No pictures of my first bike, a Moto Morini 125, still exist. It looked a lot like this one, though.
Here's a link to an electric shifter thing. It is a tad pricey and probably needs some creative instalation but it might be worth a look.

I did a throtle body sync today on my 1150RS for the first time. It's due for it's 12,000 mi. service so I figured if I screw up it will get fixed soon enough. I dusted off (literally) my old...
This link was posted today on the IBMWR mail list. It seems timely for your inquiry. The author opines, "there are no bad motorcycle roads in the U.P." I agree.

Just curious. I mean, it's a nice number and all, the cubic inch displacement of my first car. But what's the significance in this context?
Saturday I went to Cincinnati to visit the BMW...

That works, in theory, but if you do that chances are you are going to piss them off and if nobody is watching (or running a video cam) they are going to beat the **** out of you and charge you with...
I listened to most of the confirmation hearings and the one thing that struck me is that Sen. Sessions (R-ALA) seems to be a complete dumbass.
Roberts is impressive. Time will tell, but he could...
Bubba,
Just as a data point... My 1150 was filled at it's 6k service and today, at 9400 miles, I put in the last of the spare quart I bought. And, I don't think mine is fully broken in yet. You...
Not the original question, but... I have a nifty little shareware program called U-CONVERT-IT that sits on my desktop and will convert almost anything to almost anything else. I find I use it a...
I guess I was foreordained to ride. I have a photo of my grandfather taken in the late teens or early twenties on his Henderson. Three of my uncles were AMA flat track racers. Dad had a hack of...
MR DUCKS
LMNO DUCKS
OSAR DUCKS, CM WINGS?

I have in front of me a three day weekend with nothing better to do. The weather is glorious, sunny, highs in the low 80's. But gas is $3.19 a gallon and the President has asked us to conserve...
OK, after many, many attempts I managed to get logged in by "forgetting" my password and using the new assigned P/W number. But, like einnar, I can't log in to the secure services area in order to...
This is the Sportster that I want. Except that it is $25 grand as a turnkey model.
YB,
You need to add a little BMW content... Like maybe an airhead GS?
