It looks like the rider has his toes on the peg, with his heel up in the crook of the frame, and his body mashed up against the tank. One could ride this bike with knees much straighter....

It is probably from your oil breather hose, if you're referring to the hose that passes through the airbox. If you pulled it out (the hose), you'd probably find some cracks when you flexed it. ...
