I was told recently that most have a strict rule NOT to hang up unless they've gotten your money or you hang up. You can talk to them about anything and they'll take it. I just let my nine year old...
At 6000 miles I adjusted six of the eight valves, but only bought two new shims at $6 each.
Impossible to know what you'll need until you open it up. For me, dealer is six miles so a stop on the...
The stock seat from a R1200RT has never been known to have any value, so there would be no reason for Tyler to hold out on you. Of course, once you get it you'll have to figure out what to do with...
Put a 2x4 on the ground and rest the panel on it. It won't overstretch the wires or scuff the panel.
I left the bike apart and went to the dealer the next day on the way home from work. I'm fortunate to have a dealer very nearby.
I eagerly await your call, Ted!
I changed 6 of the 8 at 6000. The intakes were all at the tight end of the spec (maybe outside it, but my feeler couldn't hit it exactly). While I was at it I moved all to the middle of the spec as...
If you want it done right...... DIY!!
The offical chart is 1000 Km for the initial service and every 10000km for oil changes. the 12000 mile stuff is actually 20000km, etc. The Germans did the specs in km and they were converted to...
I agree and will add that it doesn't hurt a thing to leave the tender plugged in whenever it's parked. It'll always be fully charged.
My coils came off just fine with my hands; just a gentle pull was needed. Then again, I had the tool nearby if needed. Buy it from Marc Parnes online. $25 shipped. It's good because it grabs the...
It says to use the Mann, same as the other two posters. ??
I use the Mann with good results so far.
I don't know how much the seat heater draws but if your accessory doesn't use near that amount the system may read it as a fault and shut it down. Let us know if it works!
Last spring I was up that way on a weekend trip. I don't remember the road number but we rode the 2 lane that runs on the western edge of Lake Cayuga. A very nice ride.
Moderation is your friend. Clean what you can get to and call it good enough. Go riding and get it dirty again. Repeat the cycle.
Starter button stuck? That'd make sense since the kill switch fixed it.
Wow! With those numbers I wondered if one of the surgeries was involved. Great work!
I'm going with a simple eat less, exercise more plan. It's working, but progress is slower but consistent.
Anybody know how many sold? I think a counter on the home page would be a good idea.
By those calculations my bike has gained close to 3 HP since fall.
Oldnslow, what's your secret?
The PIAA kit numbered 74124 does not fit the 2010 and 2011 R1200RT, despite the info on the website.
See this link for some add'l info:...
... but you should be able to get a deal on any left-over air cooled models in inventory once the wet model is introduced.
I have a 30" inseam and had a factory low seat. The comfort seat is a bit higher. I like the seat.
I believe it will reset with the next key off/on cycle. You should have the ability to pull 10 amps combined from the two accessory sockets. That equates to 120W.
I added an extra socket to the...
