Try Turning your bike's treble and bass settings all they way down. If this helps as it did on my RT's system then you should be good.
Sure will. That is the setup that I use.
GSA aluminum head protectors and Illium pegs on their bars..
I am ,on a 2011 RT w/19,000 miles.
Sounds to me like the ABS is engaging on the rear. Add some front brake.
The tires that most of us use on the street bikes are not very good for gravel surfaces.
Just a thought.
I have owned several R1200RTs and 3 K1200LTs as well as a couple of Honda GL1800s.
All of the GL1800s have had this "slow to engage" issue and could be eliminated by adjusting the cable.
I cannot do both either. I just turn off the bike's bluetooth if I want to listen to the IPhone which is what I listen to anyway.
For me the radio system on my 11RT is a waste of money.
Because it is the easiest way to exhibit your superior intelligence .
Or, it is more comfortable and handles better while carrying more payload.
I have tried them all and the BMR shelf is the one that I have settled on.
I miss the quality hand controls and switches of the Hexhead models. Plus the additional RS mirrors.
Would keep my 09 if I had it to do over. And I would loose the audio and ESA on my 2011 if I...
The two short ones were and are in the glove box hinge on my 2011.
I can probably figure it out but I get nervous about the electrical stuff with the canbus.
Also I was planning to install the Hella FF50s using BMR mounts and was planning to purchase the wiring...
Saw one on a used RT at the dealer.
Save your money.
I use what ever the book suggest for viscosity and standards.
Brand does not matter. Our Rs cannot read labels and they are not as taken in by marketing gibberish as we motorcyclist seem to be.
I agree with the others that it is probably tire wear, however, first check the air pressure in your current ones.
10k on a set of RT tires is pretty good.
The only failure on my BMW m/c's was the f/p controller on a 09 GSA.
The fuel level was also on the fritz.
It failed while I was pulling away from my garage. Dealer picked it up and after 3 days...
Pair it as a phone. Worked first try with my 2011 and Sena.
I had always been able to squeeze 7k out of my RTs tires until my first set of PR2s. With that pair I got 12k and changed them only because I was leaving on a 4k ride.
I'm trying a set of Pirelli...
I would probably suggest the seat first.
Since I am tall I have done all three, seat, bar backs and peg lowers.
I can ride all day in comfort.
65 degrees ?? Maybe some day.
The K12RS mirrors are the bomb.
Unfortunately they will not transfer to my 2011.:banghead
1st that I have heard of this. Anyone else verify? My dealer and other BMW techs say, nonsense. But, I would like to verify as I have always redlined my BMWs when new but only after I am sure that...
I have used one for years but only during the winter. Blocks to much air otherwise.
I have not noticed much difference with or without using the wind management kit and no broken screen struts as...
Retirement and a R1200RT.
Now thats a great combo.:brad
I have mine equipped that way . Looks O.K. but not as well as a matched seat set.
But then with my ugly butt on it the seat it is the least of the ugly's.
Angle or rotate up to 15 degrees away from the rider.
For me they seem to do the trick. I did add an Illium supplied brake line for my peace of mind but they did work w/o it.
The quality seems to...
