    Shocks

Does anyone have a good idea besides Ohlins? I don't want to put $1700 shocks on a $4000-$4500 bike.
  4. Oilhead + Bike Washing = Electrical Issue. Maybe?

The cap on the Norton was to start it. You pull the plugs, turn on the ignition, kick it several times, put the plugs back in, kick it, and the juice from the cap would fire the motor. Go out and...
  5. Oilhead + Bike Washing = Electrical Issue. Maybe?

This problem sounds like my '72 Norton Interstate. Every time I washed it, it would not start. It had a large capacitor on the rear fender for just such occasions.
    Sorry this happened,thanks for...

    Horns

I put the Stebel horns on my 02 R1150R and they are loud. I had to use the Stebel wiring harness because I kept blowing 10 amp fuses.

    ABS Module bad

I had a Chevy S-10 pickup and the ABS module went out at 44,000 miles. I was looking at $1500 minimum for repair. I called other dealers and talked to their service writers and found out the modules...

    Bulbs

If you do, do not replace the high beam bulb or the low fuel light, you will be blinded at night. I bought a used 02 R1150R that a BMW mechanic had owned, and done this conversion. My $ .02

Flat ridge in the center of front tire?

How much tire pressure do you run in that tire?

I run 40# in the front, and 42# in the rear with Dunlop Roadsmarts. The shop said to run high #.

    Turn signals

You can check that by employing an undocumented feature - simply press both turn signals and release simultaneously.

I had the same thing happen. I tried that out of desperation, and it worked.

If you replace with a Stebel or such, be sure to use a relay.

    Random Hole Question

It might be to screw a bolt into to limit the front end movement with a factory fairing. The R100's had a lug you screw a bolt in to do the same thing.

    Trailer hitch

I pulled a trailer with my 83 R100RT. One important thing I did was replace the stock ratio with at least the next lowest. I went from a 32/11(2.91) to a 34/11(3.09).

    I have a 33/11(3.0) from a...
