    Heat on the 1600

One of the first things noticed was the heat on the left side during the demo ride. Was wearing BMW kevlar/mix semi vent pants. It is an issue.

    ESA Shocks-R1200RT 06

62k miles on the 06RT and am I feeling suspension issues? Seems that they are 'bottoming out' at times, "Thunk" on some drops in pavement. What's your experience with the life of the ESA shocks?

Just go for it, don't let anyone talk you out of it, plan for a couple of extra days to get there, so you can make some detours and enjoy the scenery and also allow for any minor storms. We have all...

Something is wrong with your bike

Something is wrong if you can only manage 47 on a reg basis. 52 is normal, 61 at high altitude and 44-48 (depending on head winds) at + 80. You can ride 80 in parts of TX.
