When mine go out I plan on replacing the battery in each of the sensors.
A simple and reliable fix, and it doesn't cost $130, just the cost of the batteries and some sealant.
The balancers aren't currently available for any of the BMW. They are available for some of the later model HD's, 1800 Goldwings and Victory. The Goldwing testimonials read with positive results...
This looks unsightly...
I'm becoming nauseous just viewing all that stuff. If I needed to look at all that crap riding; I wouldn't ride.
You definitely need something built like bmr. :banghead
Overall aesthetic sense is heavy and 'over-built'. Bulky looking and over engineered.
Finish is questionable. There isn't much refinement with BMR.
Same glare factor.
Here ya go...http://www.ascycles.com/pdf/ServiceSchedules/R1200RT_6K_Annual.pdf
I would suggest the Ztecnik shields. Very Quiet.
Hoping someone might chime in... :whistle
I need to rekey the 28L top case and was hoping to find out how to seperate the inner half of the bottom case. The latches are not real smooth in...
Could end up like this... :banghead
The year in question is a 2009 R1200RT.
Really glad you're not worse than what you described.
Good strength to you and heal well.
You can always get another bike.
OUCH! Hope you weren't stranded.
Sorry to read that...and it's good to know your valve covers survived. Hope you were intact too!
What's the next bike?
Wondering if anyone has an opinion on one protection bar over another for a R1200RT. There's a lot out there and I thought I'd ask before making a purchase. ZTechnik, Wunderlich, Tourtech, Machine...
That's just comically cruel...:D
Pre wired for radio takes grounding from antenna to faring stay. I have the same thing on a 03 set up for a radio.
Don't you just lov this board...
The latest news is the NJ. brother recovered his Vario Topcase. It was in the brush/ditch a 1/2 mile from his house. Seems it was found by a local school employee, who also posted signs about the...
That's a good story! Thanks for sharing.
Maybe this one will show up too, you never know...
Yep... that makes sense to me. I said to my brother (whom is a MOA member) the case is a mile from his house... maybe be it'll turn up.
Well, the brother asked me to post this... he lost his VARIO TOPCASE on the following route. The route he took was Rt 94 in Sussex County NJ to Rt 519, to 57 West, into Easton PA, Then 611 South to...
I read this some time ago. Don't really know the success of the battery replacement....
At 48,200 miles and a trip of coming up, I decided to go for a rebuild on the original FD. With so much slop in the 6/12 position (about 6-7mm) I felt it was time to open up the can of worms......
Thanks for the link Wood Butcher. I loaded it and it does work, however, you need to refresh the page if you wanted to go back to moving emoticons. In certain instances I just find them annoying.
Wondering how to STOP emoticon movement when using google chrome? I use to press Esc. when using Internet Explore and those pesky buggers would stop moving. With this Chrome stuff it doesn't...
