Credit Card / Gas station woes; next issue...

Nearly as difficult as the Zip Code issues that have been covered, is the 'one charge per day' limitation I have run into.

It appears that in (yet another) rule to protect ourselves from ourselves...

    My saddle bag solution....

    Hi All,
Great ending to an otherwise sad tale. Here is the mod I fashioned which solves a number of 'old-bag' short-comings.....

The Bike: 1985 K100RT This bike has notoriously poor side...

    Tourances are not KNOBs!

    Subject says it all.

But I've not heard any mention of the Heidenau tires. I've not run them but a friend in Pasco, WA., put them on his '09 F650GS (twin). They sure look like a good compromise...

    Trapster.com

    Good topic and good discussion.

I speed always. I mean, seriously...., without question, every time I drive, at some point I exceed the posted speed. But I am pretty vigilant at keeping within...

    Judgment?

My RT has 12000 miles and has about 1200 trailer miles. Wow, that's 10%! I'd better get out and ride more.

My '85 K100RT with 87,000 miles, and trailer'ed its first 30 miles just 2 months ago with...

    (relaxing)

I prefer the BMW 3-button set up. I recently bought an '01F650GS with left-side single-button signals and I do like it as much as my '85K100 or '96R11RS.

One thing I like about the 3-button...

Personally, I never use locktite on exhaust bolts/nuts, but I always use 'Never-seize' on them.

And I am sure your 'firm' is tight enough. These are not technical bolts. You saw what happened...

    Tank re-furb...

Though I don't know about adding 'Pool acid' to the process, the former post is correct in throwing in 20-30 small (clean) nuts (from your spares collection), then add a quart of fuel (or pool acid),...

    Tires; milage, prive, performance....

    Hi All,

I am very surprised that the K-forum is so lacking in posts pertaining to tires. So here is my $.02!

Riding an '85 K100RT, I was north-bound through Oregon to the joint BMW OR/WA...
